SINGAPORE, 14 October 2020: Thai Vietjet, a subsidiary of the Vietnamese parent firm, claims it will secure jobs for its employees and even recruits more staff to continue expanding its flight network in Thailand and overseas.

The airline recently held a cabin crew recruitment day attracting thousands of applicants in Chiang Mai, Thailand. According to the airline media statement, the event successfully created hundreds of jobs in the country as the airline plans to increase its manpower to 1,000 from the current 700 by the end of this year.

Additional recruitment for pilots, engineers, and other positions is also currently underway.

Thai Vietjet has launched four new domestic routes in Thailand over the past two months from its base of Suvarnabhumi airport, despite the absence of international tourists in Thailand.

Two more routes are due to open by year-end to give it a network of 13 domestic routes. The airline’s fleet should also increase to 15 in 2021.
