SINGAPORE, 24 November 2020: The Capella Hanoi will open this December at a location close to the city’s famous opera house.
The 47-room boutique hotel designed by Bill Bensley, the architect behind Capella Ubud, Bali, is owned by one of Vietnam’s most renowned real estate investors, Sun Hospitality Group. The property is located in a tranquil neighbourhood in Hanoi’s prestigious Hoàn Kiếm quarter.
Capella Hotel Group CEO Nicholas Clayton commented: “From Capella Hotels and Resorts’ perspective, it’s a fabulous opportunity for us to continue our growth, as we establish a presence in Vietnam.”
Capella Hanoi is close to some of the capital city’s most impressive historic landmarks including the Temple of the Jade Mound and the French Quarter, with the Hanoi Opera House in its centre.
Sun Group board of directors chairman, Dang Minh Truong (Dr Chang) added: “This is Sun Group’s first luxury hotel to open in the capital… Together with Bill Bensley, we have created a design, with attention to the smallest of details, to ensure the hotel’s architecture blends in perfectly with the elegant surroundings of the Hoàn Kiếm quarter.”
