LONG BEACH, California, 7 December 2021: For the first time in nearly two years, airlines worldwide regrouped for the APEX Official Airline Ratings awards.
The 2022 APEX Official Airline Ratings recognise airlines in four distinct categories: Global; major; regional and low-cost airlines.
The APEX Official Airline Ratings are based on neutral, third-party passenger feedback and insights gathered through APEX’s partnership with TripIt from Concur, a highly-rated travel-organising app. For the 2022 Awards, nearly 1 million flights were rated by passengers across more than 600 airlines from around the world using a five-star scale.
Other awards given out during the APEX/IFSA Awards Ceremony included the Passenger Choice Awards, World Class, APEX/IFSA Awards, and Health & Safety.
Individuals were also recognised, such as Turkish Airlines’ chairman of the board of directors, İlker Aycı, who received the APEX CEO Lifetime Achievement, and SpiceJet Limited took home the APEX Newcomer Award.
