BANGKOK, 24 March 2025: AirAsia is offering travellers from India a new flight and airport transfer service for roundtrip journeys between Indian cities and Pattaya in Thailand.
The new service responds to increased travel demand from Indian travellers. The airline schedules direct flights between 13 Indian cities and Bangkok, Thailand’s capital. The bus service provides a roundtrip service that connects with inbound and outbound flights between India and Bangkok.

Seat bookings for the transfer bus services opened on 21 March 2025, exclusively via AirAsia MOVE or airasia.com. The first bus departure is scheduled for 1 April 2025, ahead of the nation’s Songkran Festival in mid-April.
Thai AirAsia CEO Santisuk Klongchaiya commented: “Tourists from India have made Pattaya their top destination of choice, mainly due to its vibrant entertainment scene and beautiful coastline. While it is just a two-hour drive from Bangkok, getting there conveniently has always been a key consideration for travellers, and that’s why we are introducing this new flight + airport transfer service, allowing guests from India to book a seamless journey from their departure city in India directly to Pattaya, with AirAsia’s trusted service and attractive pricing.
“April is a prime travel month, featuring long holidays and Thailand’s world-famous Songkran Festival. Pattaya, in particular, hosts some of the most exciting Songkran celebrations every year. We believe this service will be highly popular among both frequent Pattaya visitors and first-time travellers eager to experience the city.”
The flight & airport transfer service is available on flights operated by Thai AirAsia (FD flights) and Thai AirAsia X (XJ flights). Guests can book their trip seamlessly via AirAsia MOVE or airasia.com by selecting their departure city in India and setting the destination as “Pattaya (3AK)”. The system will automatically suggest the best connection times for their journey.
Upon arriving at Bangkok Don Mueang Airport, guests can board the airport transfer shuttle at the Public Transport Parking Area at the Service Hall (International Terminal, Ground Floor, Exit 1).
For returning trips from Pattaya to India, passengers should select Pattaya (3AK) as their departure point and their desired Indian destination. The shuttle departure point in Pattaya is at Central Pattaya, 1st Floor, Gate 5 (next to Soi Pattaya 9).
Currently, AirAsia operates 16 direct routes between Thailand (two cities, Bangkok and Phuket) and 13 Indian cities, including from Bangkok (Don Mueang) to Kolkata, Chennai, Jaipur, Kochi, Bangalore, Gaya, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, Tiruchirappalli, Hyderabad, and Delhi. From Phuket, there are direct flights to Chennai, Kolkata, and Kochi.
With this new flight & transfer service, AirAsia continues to enhance travel accessibility, making Thailand’s most popular destinations more convenient and affordable than ever for Indian travellers.
